Here’s what a typical 5-day surf charter looks like:

Malé, Maldives from above

Arrival in Malé

You land in Malé, get picked up at the airport, and head straight to the yacht. Cold drink in hand. Crew greets you onboard. You meet your surf guide, go over the forecast and your game plan. You settle into your cabin—SEAREX sleeps 12 guests across 6 comfortable suites. It’s all about space and privacy.

Grab a sunset drink on deck, hit the jacuzzi, then dinner under the stars on the aft deck.

No pressure. Tomorrow, the waves start.

Himmafushi, Maldives from above

Day 1 – Himmafushi Area

Up early. Your surf guide has picked the best spot for the morning session

Cruise time: ~1.5 hours from Malé
Breaks:

  • Jailbreaks (Right): Long, fast right-hander that picks up plenty of swell and gets better the bigger it gets.
  • Sultans (Right): A world-class wave. Steep takeoff at Phantoms, long walls through Pinnacles, and a shot at multiple barrels. Rarely closes out, even in big surf.
  • Honky’s (Left): A wrapping, growing left that builds down the reef. Long rides with tube sections, especially at Fred’s Ledge. Best on a low tide unless it’s pumping.

You’ll start strong, hitting three of the most consistent breaks in the atoll. A mix of speed, power, and long walls right out of the gate.

In the Afternoon,  it’s a second surf or snorkel session. Lunch is served alfresco, with fresh grilled fish and shade from the bimini. Afternoon session if the tide’s good, then wind down with a cold drink at the wet bar or stretch out on the sun deck.

Club Med Kani, Maldives

Day 2 – Club Med Kani Area

Cruise time: ~45 minutes
Breaks:

  • Lohis (Left): A hollow, reefy left with two fast sections. Loves big southeast swells and needs some water under it—high tide is best.
  • Ninjas (Right): A mellow wave. Slower, softer right ideal for longboards or a cruisy warm-up. Good for less experienced surfers too.

Great contrast today. You’ve got one wave that can throw and one that lets you slow it down. Lohis can deliver barrels; Ninjas gives you time to enjoy the ride.

With a diving boat at your service, you’re in and out of the surf without hassle. Non-surfers onboard? No problem.  There’s scuba diving, paddleboarding, and snorkeling—also included in your charter rate.

Thulusdhoo, Maldives

Day 3 – Thulusdhoo Area

Cruise time: ~45 minutes
Breaks:

  • Cokes (Right): Short, punchy, and intense. Steep takeoff straight into the barrel. The inside section gets seriously shallow and opens up even more. Best at mid to high tide, but if it’s solid, low tide is still on.
  • Chickens (Left): Long, fast left-hander. Two main sections with a thin, racing lip. Needs clean conditions—if it’s on, it runs forever. You’ll need some speed to make it through both sections.

This is a performance day. Barrel at Cokes in the morning, race Chickens in the afternoon. Both waves pack plenty of punch and are only a short ride apart.

Day 4 – Stay on Cokes & Chickens

Conditions depending, this day is about locking into your favorite zone. If Cokes is hollow and heavy, dial in the timing. If Chickens is lining up, you’ll want to draw clean lines across both sections. This is your time to go all-in on wave quality.

Between surfs, jump in for a dive. Maldives has some of the best dive sites in the world—The Dhoni is fully outfitted with dive gear, and the crew handles everything. Evenings are all about good food, replays of your best waves, and maybe a barbecue on deck. You’ll sleep well.

Day 5 – Choose Your Last Hit

On your last full day, the crew takes you to a nearby sandbank for a chill-out session. Swim, snorkel, take in the view. On request, a final surf if the conditions are right.  Your guide will read the conditions and get you to the right place for one last session.  Clean up, one last sunset, and a proper farewell dinner onboard.
